महावराहो गोविन्दः सुषेणः कनकाङ्गदी।
गुह्यो गभीरो गहनो गुप्तश्चक्रगदाधरः ।। ५८ ।।

Transliteration - English


Mahaavaraaho govindhaha sushenaha kanakaanggadhee ।
Guhyo gabheero gahano gupthashchakragadhaadharaha ।। 58 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil


மஹாவராஹோ கோவிந்தஹ​ ஸுஷேணஹ​ கனகாங்கதீ ।
குஹ்யோ கபீரோ கஹநோ குப்தஸ்சக்ரகதாதரஹ​​ ।। ௫௮ ।।

Translation


538. महावराहः - Mahaavaraahaha:

The great Cosmic Boar.

539. गोविन्दः - Govindhaha:

'Go' means Words, that is the Vedic sentences. He who is known by them is Govindaha.

540. सुषेणः - Sushenaha:

One who has got about Him an armed guard in the shape of His eternal associates.

541. कनकाङ्गदी - Kanakaanggadhee:

One who has Angadas (armlets) made of gold.

542. गुह्यः - Guhyaha:

One who is to be known by the Guhya or the esoteric knowledge conveyed by the Upanishads Or one who is hidden in the Guha or heart.

543. गभीरः - Gabheeraha:

One who is of profound majesty because of attributes like omniscience, lordliness, strength, prowess,etc.

544. गहनः - Gahanaha:

One who could be entered into only with great difficulty.One who is the witness of the three states of waking, dreams and sleep as also their absence.

545. गुप्तः - Gupthaha:

One who is not an object of words, thought, etc.

546. चक्रगदाधरः - Chakragadhaadharaha:

One who has discus and Gadha in His hand.
