Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Ajo mahaarhaha svaabhaavyo jithaamithraha pramodhanaha ।
Aanandho nandhano nandhaha sathyadharmaa thrivikramaha ।। 56 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

அஜோ மஹார்ஹஹ​ ஸ்வாபாவ்யோ ஜிதாமித்ரஹ​ ப்ரமோதனஹ​ ।
ஆனந்தோ நந்தநோ நந்தஹ​ ஸத்யதர்மா த்ரிவிக்க்ரமஹ​ ।। ௫௬ ।।

Translation

521. अजः - Ajaha:

He represents the first alphabet and sound ‘A’.

522. महार्हः - Mahaarhaha:

He who is worthy of worship.

523. स्वाभाव्यः - Svaabhaavyaha:

Being eternally perfect He is naturally without a beginning.

524. जितामित्रः - Jithaamithraha:

One who has conquered the inner enemies like attachment,anger,etc.as also external enemies like Ravana, Kumbhakarna etc.

525. प्रमोदनः - Pramodhanaha :

One who is always joyous as He is absorbed in immortal Bliss.

526. आनन्दः - Aanandhaha:

One whose form is Aanandha or Bliss.

527. नन्दनः - Nandhanaha:

One who gives delight.

528. नन्दः - Nandhaha :

One endowed with all perfections.

529. सत्यधर्मा - Sathyadharmaa :

One whose knowledge and other attributes are true.

530. त्रिविक्रमः - Thrivikramaha :

One whose three strides covered the whole world.
