Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Rithussudharshanaha kaalaha parameshtee parigrahaha ।
Ugrassamvathsaro dhaksho vishraamo vishvadhakshinaha ।। 45 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

ருதுஸ்ஸுதர்ஷனஹ​ காளஹ​ பரமேஷ்டி பரிக்ரஹஹ​ ।
உக்ரஸ்ஸம்வத்ஸரோ தக்ஷோ விஷ்ராமோ விஷ்வதக்ஷிணஹ​ ।। ௪௫ ।

Translation

416. ॠतुः - Rithuhu:

One who is of the nature of Kala (time) which is indicated by the word Rithuh or season.

417. सुदर्शनः - Sudharshanaha:

One whose Darshana or vision that is knowledge, bestows the most auspicious fruit of Moksha.

418. कालः - Kaalaha:

One who measures and sets a limit to everything.

419. परमेष्ठी - Parameshtee:

One who dwells in his Supreme greatness in the sky of the heart.

420. परिग्रहः - Parigrahaha:

One who, being everywhere, is grasped on all sides by those who seek refuge in Him or one who grasps or receives the offerings made by devotees.

421. उग्रः - Ugraha:

One who is the cause of fear even to beings like Sun.

422. संवत्सरः - Samvathsaraha:

One in whom all beings reside.

423. दक्षः - Dhakshaha:

One who augments in the form of the world.

424. विश्रामः - Vishraamaha:

One who bestows Vishraama or liberation to aspirants who seek relief from the ocean of Samsara with its waves of various tribulations in the form of Hunger, Thirst etc., and difficulties like Avidya, pride, infatuation etc.,

425. विश्वदक्षिणः - Vishvadhakshinaha:

One who is more skilled (Daksha) than everyone or one who is proficient in everything.
