Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Vaikuntaha purushaha praanaha praanadhaha pranamaha pruthuhu ।
Hiranyagarbhashshathrughno vyaaptho vaayuradhokshajaha ।। 44 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

வைகுண்டஹ​ புருஷஹ​ ப்ராணஹ​ ப்ராணதஹ​ ப்ரணமஹ​ ப்ருதுஹு​ ।
ஹிரண்யகர்பஷ்ஷத்ருக்நோ வ்யாப்தோ வாயுரதோக்ஷஜஹ​​ ​​​​​​​ ।। ௪௪।

Translation

405. वैकुण्ठः - Vaikuntaha:

The bringing together of the diversified categories is Vikunta. He who is the agent of it is Vaikuntaha.

406. पुरुषः - Purushaha:

One who existed before everything.

407. प्राणः - Praanaha:

One who lives as Kshetrajana (knower in the body) or one who functions in the form of vital force called Prana.

408. प्राणदः - Praanadhaha:

One who is the giver of life.

409. प्रणमः - Pranamaha:

One who is praised or to whom prostration is made with Om.

410. पृथुः - Pruthuhu:

One who has expanded Himself as the world.

411. हिरण्यगर्भः - Hiranyagarbhaha:

He who was the cause of the golden-coloured egg out of which Brahma was born.

412. शत्रुघ्नः - Shathrughnaha:

One who destroys the enemies of the Devas.

413. व्याप्तः - Vyaapthaha:

One who as the cause pervades all effects.

414. वायुः - Vaayuhu:

One who is the cause of smell.

415. अधोक्षजः - Adhokshajaha :

He is Adhokshaja because he undergoes no degeneration from His original nature.
