Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Ojosthejodhyuthidharaha prakaashaathmaa prathaapanaha ।
Ridhdhaha spashtaaksharo manthraha chandhraamshurbhaaskaradhyuthihi ।। 30 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

ஒஜோஸ்தேஜோத்யுதிதரஹ​ ப்ரகாஷாத்மா ப்ரதாபனஹ​​ ।
ரித்தஹ​ ஸ்பஷ்டாக்ஷரோ மந்த்ரஹ​ சந்த்ராம்ஷுர்பாஸ்கரத்யுதிஹி​​ ।। ௩௰ ।।

Translation

275. ओजोस्तेजोद्युतिधरः - Ojosthejodhyuthidharaha:

One who is endowed with strength, vigour and brilliance.

276. प्रकाशात्मा - Prakaashaathmaa:

One whose form is radiant.

277. प्रतापनः - Prathaapanaha :

One who warms the world through the power manifestations like the Sun.

278. ऋद्धः - Ridhdhaha:

One who is rich in excellences like Dharma, Gyana (knowledge), Vairagya (renunciation) etc.

279. स्पष्टाक्षरः - Spashtaaksharaha:

He is so called because Omkara, the manifesting sound of the Lord, is Spashta or high pitched.

280. मन्त्रः - Manthraha:

One who manifests as the Mantras of the Rig, Sama, Yajus, Atharva, or one who is known through Mantras.

281. चन्द्रांशुः - Chandraamshuhu :

He is called 'Chandramshu' or moonlight because just as the moon-light gives relief to men burnt in the heat of the sun, He gives relief and shelter to those who are subjected to the heat of Samsara.

282. भास्करद्युतिः - Bhaaskaradhyuthihi :

He who has the effulgence of the sun.
