Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Aathmayonihi svayamjaatho vaikhaanaha saamagaayanaha ।
Devakeenandhanaha srashtaa ksheetheeshaha paapanaashanaha ।। 106 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

ஆத்மயோநிஹி ஸ்வயம்ஜாதோ வைகானஹ​ ஸாமகாயனஹ​​​ ​।
தேவகீநந்தனஹ​ ஸ்ரஷ்டா க்ஷிதீஷஹ​ பாபனாஷனஹ​ ।। ௱௬ ।।

Translation

985. आत्मयोनिः - Aathmayonihi :

One who is the source of all; that is, there is no material cause other than Himself for the universe.

986. स्वयंजातः - Svayamjaathaha:

He is also the instrumental cause.

987. वैखानः - Vaikhaanaha :

One who excavated the earth, taking a unique form.

988. सामगायनः - Saamagaayanaha:

One who recites the Sama chants.

989. देवकीनन्दनः - Dhevakeenandhanaha :

The Son of Devaki in the incarnation as Krishna.

990. स्रष्टा - Srashtaa :

The creator of all the worlds.

991. क्षितीशः - Ksheetheeshaha :

A master of the world. Here it denotes Rama.

992. पापनाशनः ​ - Paapanaashanaha :

He who destroys the sins of those who adore Him, meditate upon Him,remember and sing hymns of praise on Him.
