Sri Vishnu Sahasra Naamam

Bhoorbhuvaha svastharusthaaraha savithaa prapithaamahaha ।
Yajno yajnapathiryajvaa yajnaango yajnavaahanaha ।। 104 ।।

Transliteration - Tamil

பூர்புவஹ​ ஸ்வஸ்தருஸ்தாரஹ​ ஸவிதா ப்ரபிதாமஹஹ​ ​।
யஞ்ஞோ யஞ்ஞபதிர்யஜ்வா யஞ்ஞாங்கோ யஞ்ஞவாஹனஹ​​ ।। ௱௪ ।।

Translation

967. भूर्भुवः स्वस्तरुः - Bhoorbhuvaha svastharuhu:

The three Vyahrutis Bhuh, Bhuvah, Svah are said to be the essence of the Veda.

968. तारः - Thaaraha:

One who helps Jivas to go across the ocean of Samsara.

969. सविता - Savithaa :

He who generates all the worlds.

970. प्रपितामहः - Prapithaamahaha :

One who is the father of Brahma and therefore the grandfather of all.

971. यज्ञः - Yajnaha:

One who is of the form of Yajna.

972. यज्ञपतिः - Yajnapathihi:

One who is the protector and the master of the Yajnas.

973. यज्वा - Yajvaa :

One who manifests as the performer of a Yajna.

974. यज्ञाङ्गः - Yajnaanggaha :

All the parts of His body as the incarnate Cosmic Boar are identified with the parts of a yajna.

975. यज्ञवाहनः - Yajnavaahanaha :

One who supports the Yajna which yield various fruits.
