ஒன்றுசென்றதொன்றையுண்ட தொன்றிடந்து பன்றியாய்
நன்றுசென்ற நாளவற்றுள் நல்லுயிர் படைத்தவர்க்கு
அன்றுதேவ மைத்தளித்த வாதிதேவ னல்லையே. 48

திருமழிசை ஆழ்வார் அருளிச்செய்த திருச்சந்த விருத்தம் - பாடல் 48 ( பிரபந்தத்தில் பாடல் 799 ) - பொருள்

குன்றில் நின்று - திருமலையில் நின்று ; வான் இருந்து - பரமபதத்திலே இருந்து ; நீள் - நீண்ட ; கடல் - பாற்கடலிலே; கிடந்து - கண்வளர்ந்தருளி; மண் - பூமியை

ஒன்று - ஒப்பற்ற; சென்று - அளந்து; அது ஒன்றை - ஒப்பற்ற அந்த பூமியை; உண்டு - வயிற்றிலே வைத்து; அது ஒன்றிடந்து - ஒப்பற்ற அந்த பூமியை குத்தி எடுத்து; பன்றியாய் - வராஹமாய்;

நன்று சென்ற நாள் அவற்றுள் - நன்றாகச் சென்ற வராஹ கல்பத்திலே; நல் - நன்மையுடைய; உயிர் - மனுஷ்யர்களை; படைத்து - ஸ்ருஷ்டித்து; அவர்க்கு - அந்த மனுஷ்யர்களுக்கு;

அன்று - ரஜஸ் தமஸ் ஓங்கிய காலத்தில் ; தேவ - தேவ ஜாதியை; அமைத்து - ஸ்ருஷ்டித்து; அளித்த - ரக்ஷித்த ; ஆதி - காரண பூதனான; தேவன் - நிருபாதிகதேவன்; அல்லையே - அன்றோ நீ!




Translation


Thirumazhisai Aazhwar Thiruchchandha Viruththam - Song 48 ( Song 799 in Prabandham ) - Meaning

You reside at top of seven hills Thirumalai Thirupathi, in the Vaikunta Loka and in the divine Milky Ocean resting over the snake bed. This earth;

which is uncomparable to any, you measured in Vamana incarnation, and you placed that uncomparable earth inside your stomach and not only that you dug that earth hidden inside the ocean by taking the form of a pig in Varaha incarnation.

In those days of the Varaha kalpa you created good people and when those human beings

changed in their nature to Rajas and Tamas qualities you created the DemiGods and protected all and are you not the saviour of all responsible for all the cause and effects in this universe!
