செந்தளிர்வாய்மலர்நகைசேர்செழுந்தண்சோலைத் தில்லைநகர்த்திருச்சித்ரகூடந்தன்னுள்

செருக்கி வந்து எதிரிட்ட தாடகையினுடைய மார்பைப் பிளந்து ரத்தம் வெளி வந்து சொரியும்படி வலிய ஒப்பற்றதோர் அம்பைச் செலுத்தி
எல்லா மந்திரங்களையும் தம்மிடத்திலே கொண்ட வேதங்களின் வழியே விஸ்வாமித்ர மஹாமுனி செய்த யாகத்தைப் பாதுகாத்து அந்த யாகத்துக்கு இடையூறு செய்த ஸுபாஹு முதலிய வழிய ராக்ஷஸர்களுடைய உயிரைக் கொள்ளை கொண்ட மிடுக்கையுடையவன் யாரென்று அறியுங்கள்!
சிவந்த தளிர்களின் நடுவே மலர்ந்த புஷ்பங்களையுடையதும் காண்பவர் மகிழும்படியான அழகு பொருந்தினதும் செழுமையுடையதுமான குளிர்ந்த சோலைகளையுடைய தில்லை நகரத்திலுள்ள திருச்சித்திர கூடத்தில் எழுந்தருளியிருக்கிற
ப்ராஹ்மணர்கள் மூவாயிரம் பேர் திரண்டு துதிக்க அழகிய ரத்ன சிம்ஹாசனத்திலே வீற்றிருந்த ஸர்வேஸ்வரனே யாவன்!

Translation


Sri Kulasekarap Perumaal - Perumaal Thirumozhi - Paththaam Thirumozhi - Beautiful place bordered with high fences - Song 2 - Meaning

With an uncomparable might He aimed an arrow at the chest of proud Thaadaka whose heart got pierced and started bleeding profusely killing her,
know Him who protected the great sage Vishwamithra who has learnt all Vedhic Manthras and was doing sacred sacrificial Yaagams which was about to be disrupted by Asuras like Subaahu whose plan were thwarted by Him who killed them with such valour!
He is gracing at the divine place of Chithrakoodam at Chidambaram which is surrounded beautifully by flowering gardens in midst of fresh red young leaves making people who witness it to be filled with joy due to its cool and luscious nature,
where around three thousand brahmin scholars sing His praise as He is seated on the gem studded throne, who is the God of all, Sri Rama!
